Overview of the 3rd Trilateral Journalist Exchange Program (TJEP)

 

Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) initiated Trilateral Journalist Exchange Program (TJEP) from 2014 to provide opportunities for mutual exchange and understanding to C-J- K journalists. The Program will focus on the ancient capital cities of the three countries: Kyoto (Japan), Xi’an (China), and Gyeongju (ROK) under the theme of “Past, Present, and Future of the Trilateral Ancient Capitals”. 

 

1. Purpose of the Program 

    a. To deepen understanding of the history and development of trilateral ancient capitals 

    b. To promote mutual understanding and friendly relations among the media of the three countries 

 

2. Dates 

    June 27th (Mon) ~ Jul 6th (Wed), 10 days 

 

3. Destinations 

    Japan, China and Republic of Korea (visiting country order) 

 

4. Organizer 

    Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) 

 

5. Language 

    During the official schedule, professional interpreters and TCS officers will support participants’ communication (consecutive interpretation will be provided for the visiting country language). Yet, interpretation will not be provided to non-official schedules. 

 

6. Funding 

    a. Organizing institution: air transportation, accommodation, and official expenditures. 

    b. Participants: visa fee (if necessary), private expenditures for non-official schedules. 

 

7. Requirement for the Participants 

    a. Participation to the official schedules 

    b. Preparation for the presentations in the dialogue and/or roundtable

    (theme/schedule for these events will be announced later) 

    c. Media report on the TJEP/TCS
