Others TCS 7th Consultative Board Paid a Visit on the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)

On November 21, 2023, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji and YAN Liang (collectively as the “7th Consultive Board”) paid visit on Mr. MIZUNO Masayoshi, Director-General Export and International Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).
Secretary-General LEE thanked the MAFF’s continued cooperation to TCS especially on the Trilateral Young Rural Leaders’s Exchange Program (TREP). TREP was held for the first time after the 3rd Trilateral Agricultural Minister’s Meeting (TAMM), where common goals including achieving sustained progress in rural revitalization were identified. On top of that SG LEE requested MAFF’s support for the 2nd TREP to be organized by TCS in ROK. DSG Yan shared the recent experience of the 6th Trilateral Director General Meeting on Forestry Cooperation in Tokyo and expressed willingness to cooperate with MAFF for enhancing trilateral cooperation in other related areas.
Mr. MIZUNO extended gratitude for the continued support with MAFF, introducing their focus on the Plant Variety Protection scheme among CJK countries. Emphasizing the importance of Trilateral Agricultural Ministers Meeting (TAMM), he highly praised TCS as facilitator for coordination between three governments. Mr. MIZUNO affirmed that MAFF would continue their support for the implementation of the next TREP.
