On October 25, 2023, Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji and YAN Liang (collectively as the “7th Consultative Board”) of Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) paid a visit to Mr. TUO Zhen, President of People’s Daily in Beijing.
Secretary-General LEE expressed heartfelt gratitude to People’s Daily for its unwavering support as a Chinese media sponsor for the TCS annual flagship project, the International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation (IFTC), and asked for its continuous support to IFTC and other TCS projects. Speaking highly of the pivotal role played by People’s Daily in enhancing mutual understandings and consolidating public opinion, he looked forward to deepening cooperation with People’s Daily in the future.
President TUO extended congratulations to the 7th TCS Consultative Board on their assumption of office. He briefly introduced People’s Daily and its endeavors to foster cooperation with Japanese and Korean media outlets. Highlighting the significance of media contributions in promoting people-to-people bonds and advancing Trilateral Cooperation among the three countries, he reiterated People’s Daily's commitment to providing continuous media support to TCS.
