On October 30, TCS Deputy Secretary-General Yan Liang paid a courtesy visit to the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Province, where he met with Ms. Chen Baiwei, Director-General of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and President of the Shandong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
Director-General Chen expressed Shandong Province’s strong commitment to further promoting its cooperation with Japan and the ROK, underscoring the province’s strategic intent to serve as a pivotal hub for regional collaboration. DSG Yan acknowledged and commended Shandong’s proactive role and substantial contributions to trilateral exchanges. He affirmed the TCS’s willingness to enhance collaboration with the province, jointly exploring new mechanisms to advance practical collaboration in economy, trade, and culture.
On October 31, DSG Yan also visited Qingdao city and met with Mr. Fan Qizhi, Director-General of the Qingdao Foreign Affairs Office, and Mr. Wang Xiangyu, Deputy Director-General. During the productive discussions, both sides reviewed the existing friendly exchanges and identified promising areas for deepened cooperation. The two sides also agreed on the importance of facilitating more people-to-people exchange programs, particularly among the youth of the three countries, to foster greater mutual understanding.
