Mechanisms Pre-TEMM20 Working Level Meeting in Beijing, China 2018.03.28

The working level meeting for the 20th Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting (TEMM20) was held in Beijing, China on March 28, 2018. TCS delegation attended the meeting.


Delegates of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, and the Ministry of Environment of ROK gathered and had a fruitful discussion on the preparation of TEMM20. TEMM is the oldest and one of the most institutionalized mechanisms among the three countries and many achievements have been made. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the mechanism, three sides were committed to make this year’s meeting a memorable occasion, and actively brainstormed on deliverables to review the past and picture the future of TEMM. 

TCS made a presentation on the working progress in General Public Awareness under Tripartite Joint Action Plan on Environmental Cooperation (TJAP) 2015-2019, and TCS’ new website as possible new virtue home for TEMM. TCS also proposed ideas to support TEMM20 and promote the mechanism to the general public through anniversary brochure, exhibition, and seminar. TCS will actively carry out its role as a hub and facilitator of trilateral cooperation and provide ongoing support to the TEMM mechanism.
